Decompress at the end of the week with a nurturing dance workshop, led by Carte Blanche dancers.BOOK NOW
With back-to-back shows and strict schedules, professional dancers know a thing or two about managing stress in the mind and body. Let loose in this invigorating dance workshop based on Carte Blanche's recovery routines and then top it off with a trip to Norwegian-style saunas – there's no better way to end a busy week of intense art.
We start with guided meditation and breathing exercises to center the mind and body.
We then move into the dancers' recovery routine – a combination of ballet, barre, and yoga.
Next, we sweat it out at classic Norwegian-style saunas to aid muscle recovery.
After graduating from Juilliard, Sarah has performed with the New York Dance Company in Latin America and Europe, and is now the principal dancer for Carte Blanche.
Helen is the main choreographer at Carte Blanche, known for her signature dynamic dance style in music videos and off-broadway shows.
Katarina is the Co-Founder at Lucid. She started out as a dancer, and became fascinated by experimental art. She will be hosting the workshop along with Sarah and Helen.

I took a Carte Blanche class last year in Stockholm and was so impressed by the routines and teaching style. Can't wait for this workshop!
Lucid's workshops are so instructional and inspiring, I can't get enough!
This is my third time coming to Lucid and the workshops are always my favourite part. Highly recommend.
Yes! This workshop is for all levels. You do not need prior experience with dance or yoga to participate.
You don't need to wear special dance clothing – any comfortable fitness clothing will do just fine! If you have long hair, we recommend wearing hair ties.
We recommend bringing a spare change of clothing and soap for pre- and post-sauna showers. Clean towels are available but you're welcome to bring your own.
No, we do not permit swimsuits inside saunas to limit bacteria brought in by wet bathing suits. We provide clean towels to cover up.
